With the ever-increasing traffic accidents and violence in present-day society, the numbers of multiple facial injuries have been increasing. The mandible has classically been identified as the second most commonly fractured facial bone. Priorities in the management of mandibular injuries are airway maintenance and initation of appropriate therapy for associated injuries. The goals of treatment are the reestablishment of a satisfactory occlusal relationship. Miniplates and screws have high strength yet easily and precisely shaped to bone contours, excellent biocompatibility. They are chemically inert and non-corrosive. Noncompression monocortical miniplate fixation has proved to be a convenient and effective method in the treatment of various mandibular fractures. Author report 6 patients with mandibular fractures treated with rigid internal fixation devices.
